Description
For many years, the Perry Knitting Co. had operated an informal store in Mill #1 that sold factory seconds at reduced prices. The 1950s saw creation of the company's own Nitey Nite brand sleepwear, and direct marketing of its products. A separate building on North Center St. was constructed as a factory outlet. In the window we can see mannequins and dolls attired in Nitey Nites. Today the structure is still standing; it houses Sweet Sarah's bakery.
