Title
Omniscience
Description
At Geneseo, I’m enraptured not only by the programs and curriculum offered, but by the colors of the hills and sunsets. I feel that by indulging in nature, one can learn a lot just from the quiet around them. This poem captures the space in which education and nature cross paths.

Text
Setting eye, bright
with knowledge of the hills,
swells yellow, orange, pink as it speaks
scripture on red seasoned leaves that rattle and lean
in to take in its tales. Stories written in braille
bumps, veins mapping routes of ventures
for the lost; a blind wanderer.
I seek solitude in autumn leaves and listen
to their legends; for each leaf falls
to feel their roots once more, too.
