Title
These Voices, These Faces Wall Display
Description
These Voices, These Faces was a portion of the gallery assembled for African Past: Migrant Present. Near the beginning of the exhibition it was intended as a wall display to place the viewer of the gallery squarely in the shoes of the creators of the artwork they were about to view. These Voices, These Faces was aligned to a center axis and surrounded by photos of African American migrant farmworkers, with poems capturing their experiences. This diagram is one of the layouts proposed for the section. While another one ultimately was chosen, this is the only sketch naming poems and photographs.
