Title

Acceptance Letter from the Balch Institute for Items from African Past, Migrant Present

Description

At the close of the 1986 gallery African Past, Migrant Present, some art pieces were transported to the Balch Institute in Philadelphia. They were displayed there as part of their "Freedom's Doors" exhibition. It is unknown what works from African Past, Migrant Present were sent to the Balch Institute, but it is nonetheless impressive that a seemingly small and insignificant gallery exhibit got attention hundreds of miles away in a large city. The migrant works got to see a larger world.
