Title
Dr. Gloria Mattera and Colleagues
Description
A photo of Dr. Gloria Mattera and four unidentified colleagues, perhaps graduate students, sitting around a table looking through papers. The Geneseo Migrant Center was started in 1965 by Dr. Mattera, then a professor in SUNY Geneseo's School of Education, after being approached by division director, Dr. William Cotton, with an idea for a project to serve the migrant farmworkers. In the following decades the center eventually gained national recognition for its various programs, including an art programs known as CAMPS. This particular photo is stamped "New York Migrant Center" on back.
