Dorothy and Toto's green spectacles
This cropped illustration appears in L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy and her companions reach the Emerald City. There they meet the Guardian of the Gate, who outfits them with green spectacles to protect them from the glare of the city's majesty. It has been included in OpenValley to support a story map on surrealism at the New Deal Gallery, Mount Morris.
