Description

Located in Elmira, NY, the octagonal building was given to Twain (the pen name of Samuel Clemons) by his sister Susan and her husband Theodore Crane in 1874. He wrote portions of several books there. In 1952 the structure was moved to Elmira College, where it can be viewed today.
