Description

Map from the company's 1897 annual report shows the extent of this primarily industrial railroad, whose main purpose was to deliver coal from Pennsylvania mines to the industrial cities of Rochester and Buffalo. From the latter location, coal could be shipped via the Great Lakes. For a brief history of the BR&P in Mumford, see here.
