During the time of the Geneseo Migrant Center, this farm located near Gainesville, NY was one of Wyoming County's group of major potato producers. The scale of that operation is suggested by this photograph showing rows of filled bags, at the time picked by hand using migrant farmworkers.
oday Marquart Farms has, to some extent, differentiated itself from commodity producers by creating its own line of
"New York Chips" that are sold in retail outlets. It also has a large storage operation that brings in another stream of income.
